Cartucho desarrollado en la década de 1.950 por Larry S. Sterett de Biggsville (Illinois) EE.UU. a partir de vainas del 7,65×38 Swiss Machine Pistol XPL, las cuales se recortaron en dos medidas, a 25 mm para el Gamestopper Short y a 26,7 mm para el Gamestopper Long. Estos cartuchos pueden considerarse como los primeros predecesores del 10 mm Auto.
